About
Burkitt’s Lymphoma Society is a support and advocacy non-profit organization.
Burkitt’s lymphoma is a rare and aggressive form of Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma that affects as few as 300 individuals in the United States each year. This form of cancer can spread very rapidly, with tumors even doubling in size in less than 24 hours, it is humans most aggressive tumor. While you may find a substantial amount of information concerning Burkitt’s throughout the web, with definitions, statistics and treatment options, we aim to serve as a central reference for the past and present Burkitt’s community. Being a rare cancer has disadvantages, because very few people have ever even heard of it, including many medical professionals. We aim to spread the word about Burkitt’s lymphoma.
Mission Statement of the Burkitts Lymphoma Society
The experience with cancer is, indeed, very intimidating and frightening. We seek to bring peace to the struggle by sharing experiences, information, and hope to others who seek it.
